Never grieve Him

Have you ever been slain in the Spirit, filled with the Holy Spirit, or baptized in the Holy Spirit. Some theologians may argue about the validity of outpouring of God's Spirit in such a manner. Such an example is the Speaking of Tongues. For Charismatics/Pentecostals, it is an essential part of the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. Some believers think that He didn't come upon the scene until the New testament came along, but that is not true. There have been many mentions about Him in the Old Testament. A few examples include Psalm 51:11 and Isaiah 63:10.

Some Christians do not believe that the Gift of Tongues is present in this age. They believe that this gift went away when the first Christians were gone.

What do you believe?

Today's verse: Ephesians 4:29-30 (King James Version)

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption
