Jews for Jesus vs Google

Because I work in a publishing environment, I thought it was interesting to find out that Google is being sued by the Jews for Jesus organization. From what I can tell, it appears that the JFJ organization wants Google to hand over the jewsforjesus.blogspot.com weblog. Google owns the domain.

A law professor's blog gives a summary opinion at this posting.

Interestingly enough, a colleague and friend, volunteers for the local JFJ team. I'll get her take on things when I return to work, if she has heard anything.

The news and comments about this story are found at the thinkchristian.net blog.

It appears that the Google organization is getting in a bit of of hot water with religious organizations as well as authors, musicians, and publishers. If you don't already know, authors and publishers (owners of content) have attempted to prevent Google from digitizing printed books. More information is found here.

It will be VERY interesting how the courts handle this new case.

By the way, did you know that Google's motto is "Don't be evil"?

Today's verse: John 3:6 (New Living Translation)

6Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives new life from heaven.
