After having such a great fellowship time on Sunday afternoon with friends at a Cafe Deluxe restaurant, the Wisconsin Ave location, I was shocked to find another close friend, a strong believer, turning away from the truth. I can't go into details, but I'm still reeling from it. He is currently going through a divorce, and his soon-to-be ex-wife is fighting him for every cent he's got. They have two pre-teen twin boys and and an older teenage daughter.
It appears that she is manipulating the kids as well. It's just way too sad to see my friend and his family go through these troubles. In the past, he helped me as I was going through my struggles, and he treated me as a true brother/friend. I'm praying for him and his family. They need healing and support. Although he may have walked away during a season, I hope he doesn't give up.
On another note, that same group of friends and I decided to start a Christian support and accountability group.

Today's verse: Genesis 31:3 (New King James Version)
3Then the LORD said to Jacob,
“Return to the land of your fathers and to your family,
and I will be with you.”
3Then the LORD said to Jacob,
“Return to the land of your fathers and to your family,
