Supreme Court religious affiliation majority changes with Alito

A Chicago Times article and a Weekly Standard article cite that the religious affiliation of Supreme Court judges will be dominated by Catholics with the confirmation of Samuel Alito. The tally will total five Catholics on the high bench. Most Supreme court watchers don't think that affiliation would affect court decisions. How judges apply their faith will affect how they rule cites the article.

This type of article reminds me how Kennedy as a Presidential nominee was scrutinized by the media if he would follow the Constitution versus the Pope. Obviously, there was no real concern after he was elected. We have not ended up as a Catholic State, like the Vatican.
