Water, water, everywhere and animals, according to each of its kind.

We are heading to the National Aquarium at Baltimore, or as we locally say the Baltimore Aquarium, on Saturday for the day. Hopefully, we'll get tickets to see the Dolphins show. I get a kick watching them jump out of the water and seeing them race in the pool.

It reminds me of the days when I was a kid living in San Diego. My family or my classroom/school would take me to the local Sea World Adventure Park. It was better than any other park.

There were opportunities to feed the dolphins, whales, penguins, and walruses. Almost every time I stopped by the walrus area, it smelled. There were opportunities to view tide pools and pick up starfish and sea stars.

Better than Disney World.

Better than the San Diego zoo.

Better than Balboa Park.

Talking about zoos, I'll be glad to see the new animals at the DC zoo when the weather gets warmer. They will be great distractions. With the new cheetah and panda cubs growing so quickly, they probably will be growing adolescents by the time I see them.

But, it's not the same.

You can have Tai Shan, although the panda cub is adorable. I won't say more about the panda, since so many local DC blogs incessantly talk about him. You can have your cheetah pups, although viewing them on the cheetah cam is cool.

Oh, give me rays, skates, whales, and sharks! Oh, my! They are awesome to watch.

As a kid, I thought one of my future occupations would be marine biologist or some type of sea explorer. I thought it would be cool to go diving into tropical waters with some spear gun and explore all that sea life or land on a distant island in the middle of nowhere and enjoy the sea air.

As an adult (in theory), there are some days I still have that urge to find a distant island and telecommute/work from there. Oh yeah, the island would require electrical/solar energy to sustain modern conveniences. For example, the island location will have to be wifi compatible and require satellite access too.

I think I have said this before. I'm a creature of comfort. You know what I mean?

Today's Scripture: Job 40:15-22 (New American Standard Bible)

God's Power Shown in Creatures

15Behold now, Behemoth, which I made as well as you;
He eats grass like an ox.
16Behold now, his strength in his loins
And his power in the muscles of his belly.
17He bends his tail like a cedar;
The sinews of his thighs are knit together.
18His bones are tubes of bronze;
His limbs are like bars of iron.
19He is the first of the ways of God;
Let his maker bring near his sword.
20Surely the mountains bring him food,
And all the beasts of the field play there.
21Under the lotus plants he lies down,
In the covert of the reeds and the marsh.
22The lotus plants cover him with shade;
The willows of the brook surround him.
