In the late night

I appreciate munching/masticating during the late night hours, especially with good friends like this one. This week we stopped by this place so that I can avoid self destructive thoughts and enjoy proper fellowship/conversation.

During our talk, I was surprised that I confessed a few details about "the" past life. It wasn't anything dark, too revealing or too discreet. My standard perspective about revealing early mistakes or experiences is to keep the past in the past, when you already have dealt with it. I guess "confession is truly good for the soul" at any time, and it felt right to do so during that moment.

The food is so yum. Unfortunately the place located right off Wisconsin Ave closes @ 10:00 pm. Mind you that we didn't get there until 9:55 pm. It would be nice if DC offered more late night dining. Still, the food was so good that I accidentally ate part of the wax paper and sour cream was pouring down my fingers.

How embarrassing! So far, the work week has been productive. It's been a number of postings since I have ended an entry with relevant Scripture. So, here it is.

Today's Scripture:
Nehemiah 9:3 (New International Version)

3 They stood where they were
and read from the Book of the Law of the LORD their God
for a quarter of the day,
and spent another quarter in confession
and in worshiping the LORD their God.
