I arrived back safely from Las Vegas this morning at Washington Reagan airport. It feels great to be back in the area.
We touched down on the East coast at 7:28 am (DC time). I took a 'red-eye' flight from the 'City of Entertainment @ 11:57 pm (Vegas time). It was a 4 and half hour direct flight. I did get some shut-eye during the flight, but you know how that goes. It's not a secure sleep time. Fortunately, I caught up on sleep this afternoon.
It was a great time to see old friends, see how people have changed, catch up on everyone, watch a few shows, and have some time away from the DC area.
One thing: a close friend is a Virginia Tech alum. He graduated from the Engineering school. We got an opportunity to talk about the tragedy and how the VT community is dealing with it. He did not know the two engineering instructors. When we talked about the events, he was melancholy about the situation. Otherwise, he is doing well, and his family is doing great.
More details about the trip to follow. I hope to download a few pics also. Ciao!
Recording and sharing my experiences onscreen. Writing about the Washington DC metro area, Christianity, current events, travel, the local church scene, and my life adventures...And, yes, any tales, observations, & opinions may be included.
