On Tuesday night, My friend "C" and I went to the Artomatic Art show in Crystal City, VA and had a late supper. Please note that this is the last weekend for that exhibit. I gotta tell you that it is such an awesome art show. The exhibition shows off performances for bands and dancers also.
Please note that entry is free, but they are taking donations at the door.
There were so many art displays that C and I had time only to look at the exhibits on the 6th floor. There was another floor of exhibits on the 8th floor. There were really good art items on display, and there was really bad art.
Well, I wouldn't say really bad art.
More like "okay" art, I guess.
Not every item is going to attract every person, but there is something for every person. There were photos, sculptures, paintings, visual art, dance, modern stuff, classical paintings, glassware, etc.
Even if you cannot afford art, there is an artomatic art store with souvenirs for sale.
Although I may not have liked some items, I am so impressed at the level or caliber of artists in the DC metro area. I am definitely going to attend next year. You can hurry if you want to visit the show. The next couple days is the last weekend before the show is over.
Also, they will be selling art during the weekend. So, please support your local artists.
Here are a few images from the art show. Enjoy!
BTW, C recommends that you check out the "purple dog painting." It was one of the popular art items to view.
Recording and sharing my experiences onscreen. Writing about the Washington DC metro area, Christianity, current events, travel, the local church scene, and my life adventures...And, yes, any tales, observations, & opinions may be included.
