Wow. I just heard the news that an explosion occurred behind the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. One man had been killed. More information is found after clicking on the link. The MSNBC article cites that the police believe it was an exotic murder act, not terrorism. Police are currently reviewing security videos.
Fox News Colorado cites that the weapon in question was a backpack bomb.
The traveler says, "way too scary."
While I was in Las Vegas, we stopped by the Luxor Hotel twice. It is a unique luxury hotel with an unusual interior. A gaudy sphinx structure is displayed outside the pyramid-shaped hotel. It is quite close to the Excalibur Hotel, where I was staying while I was at the City of Entertainment.
