Like I said in the earlier post, I had a great time at the so-called city of entertainment. Although it was a short period of time, we got plenty opportunities to explore the hotels, casinos, and restaurants in the vicinity.
In Las Vegas, at least on the main Vegas strip, you see many wedding chapels and many newlyweds in the area. What you don't see too often are any churches on or near the strip. Maybe, I'm mistaken or missed them in my observations, but they did not stick out at all.
It was sad to notice this absence.
I'm certain there are excellent churches in the area and suburbs. When I googled for "Las Vegas Church," there were over 2 million hits.
I talked to people from various parts of the country, visitors from other countries, and the locals working in the hotels/casinos. Obviously, people come here to have fun and relax. They all want to experience the lights and action, and they desire that opportunity to "feel lucky."
Is it truly "Sin City?" Well, you do indeed see greed, lust and gluttony if you are talking about those "sins."
On one early morning I decided to go out for a walk and take a few photos of the area. It was sad to see people still drunk from the other night walking or struggling to walk and to see folks by themselves at the casinos betting or playing the slot machines in the a.m.
