Overheard in the Bay Area ...

While I was sitting in a pew taking photos after the wedding, PD stopped by to talk. I knew that it was going to happen, eventually.

PD: "We really miss you, man."

Traveler: "Great, that is greatly appreciated."

PD: "So, how do you like living in Manassas?"

Traveler: "Manassas? I live in Woodbridge."

PD: "Oh."

A long pause.

PD: "How is the new townhouse?"

Traveler: "I don't have a townhouse. I live with xxxxxx. I'm saving up for a house."

PD: "Oh."

Another couple pregnant pauses. Very long pauses.

PD walks away.

Traveler (thinking): You miss me that much, eh?

At least, the awkwardness is finally over. We can move on.
