Goin' back to Cali....Yes, I think so.

My boss told me Friday that I will be going to San Diego on Oct 7th thru the 9th for a conference. I will be giving a 10 minute spiel about our products. I've got mixed feelings about it since I will miss the DC Festival with Luis Palau during that time, and I was looking forward to hearing all that great music for free! Our church hosted a prayer rally for the festival a couple weekends ago. My pastor asked me to pray about it. To tell you the truth, I can go either way. I did pray about it, and I feel okay for travel to sunny Cali.

Our weekly meeting went very well. Last night I was blessed by the songs sung by our praise band, and I heard a great word about prayer from our associate pastor's wife. Unfortunately, I'm having problems with the new associate pastor. I don't know what's up with him, and why he is badgering me. For the last few months, he has been criticising my work at the church, which I don't think is quite fair. I won't write any details at the moment, since it will build up my annoyance.

Today's verse: Ecclesiastes 7:8 (New International Version)

The end of a matter is better than its beginning,
and patience is better than pride.
