Arrrrggggh! There is some pain in the Body

It's been an annoying week. This week I read a *slightly* interesting article about marketing for a certain group --- gay-friendly churches on the thinkchristian.net weblog. It was not the article that disturbed me, but the discussion postings really got to me. Obviously, homosexuality and Christianity do not mix well. And, it shouldn't.

I sent a few responses for e-mail discussion and a lot of wind was blowing. I mean a number of blowhards had thrown their opinions and scriptures about homosexuality. I think we all know that any immoral sexual behavior is sin and is against God. Throughout the discussion, some unnecessary name calling was delivered. What a shame that Christians act like the cold world toward specific groups. We're all sinners.

It is discouraging to note that serious, mature Christians have harsh opinions on this topic. Some discussants had valid points for consideration, but a number of participants did not want to listen to others giving scriptural truth, either. Evidently, some people were not reading the responses in a clear manner.

Also, another problem is the group: bloggers. They only want to hear about their own rants. Like I said, it's annoying. It's a sorry state of affairs in this section of the Body of Christ to merely throw scripture in such legalistic manner. I'm not trying to harmonize the truth of what the Bible says with worldly untruth that is clearly wrong. I pray, as true Christians, that we shall speak God's truth and those who want to change will truly hear and be healed.

1 Corinthians 6:8-11 (New King James Version)

No, you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do these things to your brethren! Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,[a] nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
