Happy Holiday cards vs Merry Christmas Greetings

The latest office cooler conversation topic of the day is on the Washington Post article about how the White House *Holiday* card has upset many Catholics and Evangelicals. It's a pretty interesting features piece. Switching the greetings/salutation from Christmas to Happy Holidays does not necessarily mean that the presidency does not stand for Christ, as some are interpreting. The president has stood on numerous occasions for what he believes in. Hey, I would enjoy receiving a Holiday card from the President (from either party).

In the article, it mentions that the respective political parties paid for the seasonal greetings, not tax dollars. On occasion, I do go out of my way to get Hannukah cards for family and friends.

People, let's choose our battles wisely....

Today's verse: Luke 1:28 (New American Standard Bible)

And coming in, he said to her, "Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you."
