Summary on local and global Easter celebrations and news.

The Easter weekend went well.

Our church congregation participated in the DC Sunrise Service near the Lincoln Memorial. Fortunately or unfortunately (depending upon how you look at it), I did not get up early enough to see the sunrise.

After sunrise service attendance, the church hosted a nice Easter breakfast. Not only were the eggs, bacon, bagels, sausage, and various fruit. Also included was a great waffle station, hosted by our youth group. They even had blueberry, raspberry and strawberry toppings. Yum! They didn't forget the whipped cream or maple syrup.

We had a traditional service message. After that service, our YA group hosted an international luncheon for guests and members. So it was a fun filled time.

After the luncheon and before the Adult Easter egg hunt competition, I sneaked out and rushed to my parents house to spend quality time.

As I was perusing through the online news sites, I've inserted a few noteworthy articles about Easter.

Here are a couple articles from South Asian newspapers to explain how Christians from these countries celebrate. For these people in this nation, they are truly in the lion's den when they worship Easter. This article cites that a couple thousand police were assigned to over 400 churches, while This article shows an ad about Jesus.

It makes me realize that this nation as well as other Western nations are blessed to worship so freely.
