Opinion on The Da Vince Code and other news

It's less than a full week before I return stateside. I'm finally getting around to catching up with news in the DC area and US news.

I wish that I didn't read about the latest popular video game. I'm not much of a gamer. As I got older, my interest in computer games has dwinded.

I was shocked to read this fairly new game about the Columbine killings.

Other news popping up in recent weeks and creating controversy in this predominant Catholic country is, of course, the movie release of "The Da Vinci Code". I see quite a bit of news in TV commercials, local commentary shows, and newspapers. After people heard that I have attended seminary school, people have approached me for my opinion.

I haven't seen the movie. I gave them my opinion about the book, since I read it a couple years ago. I think people were expecting some kind of spiritual or political revelation from me. Here is my written opinion from January 2006.

My take is that you see the movie if you want to see it or protest against it if you feel it is against your opinions. As I said in my earlier post, are you prepared to defend your belief system/faith?

More news from around the globe!

Today I depart to the Northern farming areas so I'll be away from internet access for the next few days. I hope to post later during the week before I leave the country.
