"In the good old summertime"

It's the first official day of summer and the heat is on!

Alright now!

Last night, we had a great YA session. We have a summer intern working at the church. S_____, a fellow YA group leader, asked him to teach/preach for our group during the summer, at least from June to July. This will allow the current YA leadership a break for the summer. W______ attends Zion Bible College in Rhode Island. He's going to make a fine preacher some day, and he agreed to teach for the next couple months.

It was a truly annointed time. Nobody wanted to leave. I was concerned about the attention span of our listeners, but they were focused on the preaching. Talk about an awesome prayer time. We didn't get out of there until 10:30 pm.

Sometime during last week or this week, while listening to the radio, I heard an Adrianism (Adrian Rogers).

The radio DJ quoted him,

"Whatever truly is over our heads is under God's feet."
Ain't that a relief to know that God can handle anything. Nothing is above Him.

Hearing that quote made my day.

As for other news, the boss is out of the office until Friday. So, it's been quite busy here. He and I as well as others will be in New Orleans for a conference. It will be quite interesting to see the updated or changing New Orleans. I'm leaving Friday morning and returning Tuesday night.
