Newsworthy 07/14/06: Do you like big head-butts? Some world leaders do.

Okay, I felt a little facetious this morning. That's why we have a silly title today.

Whether you are a soccer fan or not? You probably heard of the World Cup and about the famous head butt delivered by French captain Zinedine Zidane against Italian soccer player Marco Materazzi during the 2006 World Cup Final.

SI has definitely written quite a bit on it at the publication website. It cites the head-butt as one of the top ten memorable sports meltdowns.

I googled the latest on it, and it appears people (newspapers) have taken sides about what happened. Read here, here, and here. I appreciate that Zizou committed to a news conference and attempted at an explanation to describe the event.

People, the World Cup is over. Italy won and France has lost. These two individuals will face FIFA. Let's hope the truth comes out and this issue gets resolved quickly.
