Current thoughts and corporate theft, part 2

Continuation from here.

No random thoughts today (except for head-butting), but the office has been jumping alive again.

Operation Lockdown (as we nickname it) on the third floor is now in process. It has been one week since the latest theft occurred on our floor. It may mean the preventive measures worked this week. It was getting so bad that one to two thefts occurred each week in the last several weeks.

From what I've been told, it looks like the same person(s) stole the items. Three attempts with different cards were used to pay the same Sprint bill. Unfortunately, the company has not been willing to give any information about the party's mobile phone bill.

A senior director sent down an e-mail to our floor that staff will be courteous about these protective measures. There is speculation that someone was upset with the receptionist and threw their badge at her when she requested to see it.

So silly and rude. Not necessary. Speculation is said "someone" will be reprimanded for that type of action.

On a related note, it came down the "informal" departmental pipeline that not only one camera is located on this floor, but there may be a couple more digital cameras lodged somewhere on our floor. Once this news hits, I guess people will examine potted plants and check behind book shelves if cameras are hidden.

These questions come to mind. Can you find Waldo? Or Where in the world is Carmen San Diego?
