With the weather getting colder, my appetite for strong steaming, (highly) caffeinated drinks has tripled. Coffee is currently the choice for thirst during these chilly days. It's not anything new for me. My expenditures and trips for caffeine usually increase dramatically during this time of year.
I have been eschewed by work mates for drinking too much caffeine. I tend to excite my fellow co-workers when I notify them about deadlines.
It was suggested that I try hot calming teas. I've been there. Done that. I don't have anything against the stuff. I gotta admit that the caffeine stuff helps me to get by while I'm up on my feet when I'm feeling comatose like today.
What's so strange during this autumn season is my appetite for Afghani/Indian food... I usually don't get a special hankering for this type of cuisine (which I enjoy). I have been stopping by the local kebob places in Arlington/Alexandria area while I'm close to home and grabbing a quick lunch at the Indian pick up place in Union Station. This happens more than twice a week.
I wonder what's that all about? And, I have not encountered any heartburn. Thank God.
By the way, I was told by S., currently on a business trip in Atlanta, that the city is pretty cold. Like you really wanted to know about that.
I'm heading out to a conference in Charleston South Carolina in mid November. It will be very warm.
Aaahhh. :)
Recording and sharing my experiences onscreen. Writing about the Washington DC metro area, Christianity, current events, travel, the local church scene, and my life adventures...And, yes, any tales, observations, & opinions may be included.
