Good bye to the southern city of Charleston, South Carolina. Did you know this city boasts that it was ranked as one of the top 10 destination cities in the US? Well, the tourism bureau says so.
I enjoyed the great weather, the cuisine, and the people while I was here during this particular conference. It went quite well, but the logistics for the conference could be handled better. In particular, the transportation sponsored by the conference could be greatly improved. I missed a couple sessions and part of a session due to the infrequency of available shuttles to and from the conference areas and when one of the transport vehicles, a fairly new Cadillac Escalande, got stuck in park in front of the hotel as soon as I got to sit down in the car. What timing, right?
Other than those minor issues, the conference experience was great. I got an opportunity to re-connect with various vendor/distributor partners, attend some educational sessions about the industry and check up on upcoming new products/technologies that may help with the business, and meet with customers.
Tonight, colleagues and I found a new "favorite" restaurant, which serves excellent fish dishes at dinner.
Tonight, I will finish my notes/reports for this conference and pack for a morning departure to DC. It looks like the temp on Saturday for the DC area will be 72 F. Is it too late to pray for warm temps for the upcoming week?
Another strange thing that I found about myself (recently), I know longer am greatly affected by caffeine. I can drink a bit of coffee late at night and be able to sleep without any after effects. Do you think that is a bad thing?
With such a busy week now over, I can say I'm very relieved. Not only has it been a busy work week at the conference, its been a busy week for news and national politics.

UPDATE: The next morning, as the transportation service came to pick me up from the hotel to take me to the airport, the driver dropped the suitcase and laptop. I was a bit annoyed when the guy didn't apologize or react to the accident. I asked him to give me the laptop while he put my luggage away in the trunk. It turned out fine when the proper screen display came up and I played with the typical features and. I examined the physical makeup and did not see any cracks or anything get loose and the case looked okay.
NOTE to SELF: Keep laptop with you at all times.
Recording and sharing my experiences onscreen. Writing about the Washington DC metro area, Christianity, current events, travel, the local church scene, and my life adventures...And, yes, any tales, observations, & opinions may be included.
