Greetings from a warmer (and drier) sunny Charleston, SC. I'm here for a business conference and I'm having a good time. The temps are in the 80s.
The food is usually fantastic. Lowcountry fare is famous in this part of the country. I got an opportunity to visit one of my favorite restaurants Anson.
I know that it's just me, but one thing bothers me when I'm here in Charleston. They don't (usually) serve skim milk. The options are whole milk or cream.
I attend several conferences during the year, I like to drink ample amounts of coffee so I can stay alert during sessions or focus my attention in business discussions.
So, I'll be back in DC on Saturday.
I got an opportunity to vote on Tuesday before I left for the airport. It seems that the Tuesday elections was quite a shock to the system. Democrats gained seats in the Senate and House, Secretary Donald Rumsfeld has resigned, approximately 60 percent of the residents in the state of Virginia supported the marriage amendment.
Interesting times to come, don't you think?
Recording and sharing my experiences onscreen. Writing about the Washington DC metro area, Christianity, current events, travel, the local church scene, and my life adventures...And, yes, any tales, observations, & opinions may be included.
