Tonight, Friday, Nov 17th
After work the young professionals group at my church will be having fellowship and a meal at a local Ethiopian restaurant, Dukem. Gotta warn you that the food is spicy. It is located at the U. Street corridor and that means the parking situation will be sticky, especially for a Friday night. So, I'll play "bus driver" and pick up a couple friends.
Also, I drop off my apartment departure form. Yes, that means I will be moving away from the Arlington area (temporarily).
Tomorrow, Saturday Nov 18th
In the morning @ 5 or 6 am - Leave for Charlottesville to attend UVA vs Miami college football game and catch up with high school friends. (It's a free ticket.) It's going to be a great time, even if weather.com reports that the average nightly temps over the weekend will be in the thirties.
Afternoon - Game starts at noon. Thank God! Last year, the game was scheduled at night. Totally cold temps and the temps dropped while we watched the game, as I remembered.
Next day, Sunday Nov 19th
Morning - Leave for DC.
Afternoon - Meet with YA leadership and pastoral staff to review and update plans for the ministry. Tentatively planned as a get together/dessert at the senior pastor's house.
Night - Pondering whether to visit another church service.
