Pub/Restaurant Review: Froggy Bottom Pub

Just came back from dinner and fellowship with church friends G__, K_____, and S____ at Froggy Bottom Pub located a block from the Foggy Bottom metrorail stop located near or within the GWU campus. The atmosphere is casual and can get noisy during dinner. G suggested the idea to catch up at this pub since he hangs out here on Monday nights.

He likes their specials.

I checked the online menu this morning and found that the food was reasonably priced. Since it was located within the GWU area, the restaurant caters to the young college kids in the neighborhood.

G is originally from Greece, while K & S are from Ethiopia. Even with the frigid weather tonight, it was a good time to hang out during the middle of the week. I met S & K a few times only, but it was a great opportunity to interact more with them.

Such topics discussed include the following: forgiveness, sibling order and getting along with your siblings, what ingredients goes into Greek pizzas, cold weather in the DC compared to cold weather temps in Greece and Ethiopia, Greek Orthodoxy versus Ethiopian Orthodoxy, Church culture, consumption of beer vs wine, local area pubs and local area Greek restaurants, grace vs law, and the decline of Greek population and Greek restaurants in the city proper.

What did we have for dinner? Of course, a large Greek pizza! Don't forget a few sides of french fries. Or, is that freedom fries?

I would recommend both the pizza and fries. G also recommends the Mexican pizza.
