It's all about the art.

Good news. I sold my first framed photo today. It is a monochromatic image of a homeless man sleeping on the sidewalk.

Admittedly, I feel a bit proud of it. The purchase serves as a validation of my work, and I can be honest with people that I am a working photographer/artist.

Another thing, I have talked with web developer friends about the consideration for having my own photography/artwork website. I don't know if that will happen fairly soon, and I have been working on a set of photography business cards.

Another feather for the 'photographer' hat is that two separate professional websites asked for permission to attain three photos to be posted to their websites, and, in return I get a by-line and an acknowledged link to my flickr account.

On a related note, my organization hosted a juried art showcase in October and November. I submitted three pieces and they were accepted to be displayed. Pleasantly surprising that all three photo images were accepted. Today, staff members were invited to a board of directors 'meet and greet' with the artists later today. It should be a fun affair.

Things are looking up.
