Third Day on Thursday Night

Oh, I'm so tired, but I have such a satisfied feeling right now. A hectic week is almost over. In December or January Roz invited me and Z___ to a Third Day concert for February 16 at the Patriot Center. I said sure. I've listened to their music on the radio and, as most folks, I've sang along with them while I drive through some crazy DC traffic.

Oh, what a concert!

It was my first ever TD concert, and I was not disappointed. At first, I saw what I thought were hundreds of high school students walking toward the concert venue. Being at a teeny bopper concert is not my idea of fun. I was quickly reassured to see adults my age and older walking to the hall.

I did not expect to have a great night filled with such great praise music via Christian Southern rock manner, but I did. It was just like any regular rock concert. Bright lights. Loud audience. Great time!

It wasn't perfect as we heard someone miss a note as we were listening to the music. Hey, what can you do when they are playing on their first night, kicking off the "Wherever You Are" tour.

They got us out of our seats!

The David Crowder Band opened up the concert with some great music. They had us jumping up together, along with people we didn't know, with our arms over each other. Also, I liked their rendition of a rock opera song.

Yeah, I've got "O praise Him, O praise Him" on my mind right now.

It was definitely a much better experience with friends like the "Tall Glass of Water" Crew. Ha, ha! Inside joke, of course.

It was such an awesome time. You didn't scream loud enough. I don't think the other 6000 other concert goers heard you! :)
