Rain, rain go away, come back another day.

With this rain storm or what probably remains as part of hurricane Ernesto in the metro DC area, I wonder if my planned trip to Massanutten for the weekend will work out. I won't be leaving until tomorrow afternoon. The expected NVBIA picnic planned for tomorrow is re-scheduled for the 23rd of this month.

My buddies and I are planning to go to the Shenandoah area for relaxation. L has a timeshare (suite) reserved for this week from Saturday to Saturday. Unfortunately, I won't be able to take all of that time off. So, I'm back at the office Tuesday, but I'll take what I can get.

For a moment, I thought, "I am in desperate need for the peacefulness and quiet of the mountains this weekend. I want to get away from the city."

Then, after a couple minutes, I thought, "as God washed our sins away, this weekend will help wash the anxieties away, whether I'm walking in the hills of the Shenandoah or sitting in a suburbanite apartment."

Today's Scripture: Psalm 94:19 (New King James Version)

19In the multitude of my anxieties within me,
Your comforts delight my soul.
